DESIGN CHARACTER
Planeo Air has been bestowed the prestigious Red Dot Award 2017 for the high-quality design of its sliding door system. Its distinguishing feature is the delicate, black line which contours the glass surface of the sliding door system. It boasts an exceptionally slim frame profile, comprising a mere width of 6 mm. Its extremely matte surface creates a sense of contrast.
INTELLIGENTLY CONCEIVED
The matching handle strip is equally minimalistic in appearance. All functions are solely fulfilled by a delicate graphic line. Dispensing with the process of mounting via glass drilling made it possible to achieve such small dimensions. The handle strip can be fastened using the SENSA adhesive technology by GRIFFWERK. Glass drilling is also no longer required for mounting the glass door onto the sliding rail. This minimises effort, cost and errors.
DESIGN IN BLAUSTEIN
With this product concept, GRIFFWERK has combined glass doors and fittings to create one unified design system. GRIFFWERK has made such fusions possible by conducting the development for both product areas within its own facilities. What’s more, the design department at GRIFFWERK's Blaustein headquarters has been re-structured and expanded on.
ROOM DIVISION SOLUTIONS WITHIN THE SYSTEM
The Planeo Air frame profile is an extension of the PLANEO product system series, which allows for numerous, individual room division solutions to be developed with the use of glass. Ceiling-high glass sliding doors within the Planeo product system can, for example, be made to a height of up to three metres and a weight of 120 kg, and desired lengths can be achieved according to specification.
Planeo Air will be available in specialist shops beginning in summer, 2017.
